Give new customers a warm welcome by awarding loyalty points when they sign up for your program! Offering points for sign-up is a simple but powerful way to make a great first impression, boost customer acquisition, and spark long-term brand loyalty.

How to Set Up the ‘Sign Up’ Way to Earn

  1. From the TrustWILL Loyalty Dashboard, go to Program > Points

  2. Click Add ways to earn points under the Earn points section

  3. In the prompt, select Sign up

  4. Continue to fill in the required fields on the page and save the changes.


Rewarding Prior Sign-ups

You can still reward existing customers who signed up before installing TrustWILL Loyalty using the Reward past actions feature:

  1. Go to Preferences > Reward past actions

  2. Find the For sign up section and select the appropriate date range

  3. Click Reward, then Confirm

✅ Customers who signed up within the selected date range will receive the designated sign-up points.


Common Questions

1. Can I delete the 'Sign up' Way to Earn?

Yes. Go to Program > Earn points > View all ways to earn, find the Sign up reward, and click Delete.


2. Can customers sign up using a phone number instead of an email?
No. TrustWILL Loyalty uses Shopify’s customer registration system, which requires an email address. Customers must sign up using an email, and phone number registration is not supported.


3. After a customer signs in to the store, does that mean they are automatically signed up as a loyalty member?


No. Under Shopify New Customer Accounts, customers log in using their email and a one-time verification code. To sign up as a loyalty member after signing in to the store, one of the five actions below should be completed:
