How to Revoke a Reward and Refund Points

Revoke unused rewards to automatically return points to a customer's account, with steps to locate the reward and rules on what cannot be reversed.

Introduction

Sometimes customers redeem a reward they don’t intend to use, maybe by accident, or because they’re saving up for something bigger. In such cases, TrustWILL loyalty allows you to revoke unused rewards, automatically refunding the points back to the customer’s account. This keeps your rewards program flexible and customer-friendly.

Revoking Rewards and Refunding Points

To revoke an unused reward and return the points to the customer:

Step 1: Locate the Reward

  • Go to Program > Activity

    Alternatively:

    • Navigate to the Customers section

    • Search for the specific customer

    • Click to view their profile

    • Go to the Activity > Points tab

    • Find the redeemed reward coupon

Step 2: Revoke the Reward

  • Select the reward you'd like to revoke, then click "Revoke".

Once revoked, the system will automatically refund the points to the customer's account.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Only unused rewards can be revoked and refunded.

  • Used or expired rewards cannot be reversed.

  • Revoked points are immediately returned to the customer’s points balance.

By using this feature, you can offer greater flexibility and support to your customers, ensuring they get the most value from your loyalty program.
