Configure referral rewards for both existing customers and new customers to encourage new customers to shop at your store.

Referral Reward Setup
1. Navigate to Program > Referrals > Referral rewards.
2. In the Referral rewards section, click Change to choose a reward type you'd like to offer your referring customer.
3. Click Edit, and complete reward value settings.
4. Click Save.
5. In the Referred friend reward section, click Change to choose a reward type you'd like to offer your referred customer.
6. Click Edit, and complete reward value settings.
Referrer Reward Options
Amount discount – Fixed value off (e.g., $10 off)
Percentage discount – Percentage off (e.g., 10% off)
Free shipping
Free product
Points – Add loyalty points to the referrer’s account
Referred Friend Reward Options
Amount discount
Percentage discount
Free shipping

Optional: Advanced Coupon Settings
Minimum purchase amount – Set a spending threshold to use the reward
Applicable products or collections – Limit rewards to specific items
Reward expiration – Define how long the reward is valid
Purchase type – Restrict usage to:
One-time purchases
Subscription purchases
7. Optional: Allow customers to share their referrals directly from the loyalty Panel via Facebook, X, or Email. You can also pre-set the message they’ll share.
When customers click the Facebook or X icons, their social account page will open, letting them share your store instantly.
When they click the Email icon, their default email app will open so they can send the referral link by email. (Note: This option won’t work if there’s no email app installed on their device.)
8. Optional: Edit the URL that you would like to send your referred customers to.
9. Click Save to apply your changes.
Tip:
TrustWILL Loyalty recommends offering both the referring customer and referred friend a reward of the same value, to ensure both customers participate in the rewards program!
Note:
It is not possible to offer the referred friend Points as a reward option as they do not have an account to add the points yet.
The referring customer is a customer who has created an account at your store.
The referred friend is a brand new customer who has never shopped at your store before.
Referral Progress & Reward Management Page
Easily view and manage each referral record. Revoke mistakenly issued rewards with ease to maintain a fair and transparent incentive system.
Referral Progress Status
Each referral will show a status based on the friend’s activity:
Completed – The referred friend has placed an order using the advocate’s referral link.
Pending – The advocate has shared the referral link, but the friend has not placed an order yet.
What Information Is Displayed
On the Reward Management Page, you can view:
Advocate and referred friend’s name and email
Reward details (for both advocate and friend)
Order information, including:
Order number
Order total
Payment status
Order date
Where to Find the Referral Management Page
You can access referral data in two ways:
Option 1: Activity Page
Go to Program > Activity > Referrals
Click “View all referral activity”

Export is currently not available
If you need to export the data, please contact support so we can escalate your request to our development team
Option 2: Customer Profile
Go to Customers
Select a specific customer
Scroll to the Referrals section
This view allows you to check referral activity for an individual customer.
Smart Referral Flow Monitoring System
Automatic Suspicious Activity Detection: The system will automatically detect and block suspicious referral behavior, ensuring the integrity and reliability of the referral process.
Manual Control via Admin Panel: Maintain full control by manually approving or rejecting referrals as needed, helping you keep your referral program healthy and secure.
Error Message
1. Why can’t friends claim their referral discount when the subscription-supported app isn’t installed?
Under TrustWILL Loyalty > Preferences > Orders > Subscription coupons, there is an option to reward subscription purchase types.
If this feature is enabled but no subscription purchase app is installed, the coupon rewards may not work properly.
To resolve this issue, please choose one of the following solutions:
Install a subscription purchase app if you wish to reward subscription purchases, or
Disable the subscription purchase type if you don’t need to offer rewards for subscription purchases.
